Performance Management

Performance Management

The University is committed to supporting employee development through periodic performance evaluations, in accordance with university policy and collective bargaining agreements.

Non-Represented Staff

Non-represented staff participate in a coaching-style review process called Achieve Together. This process includes three check-ins per year.

  • For more information, training materials, and to access the system, please visit the Achieve Together website. Completed forms are stored directly within the Achieve Together system.

Represented Staff

Represented staff are evaluated using a standardized performance evaluation form.

  • Each year, Library Human Resources issues a formal Call for Performance Appraisals, outlining key dates and expectations. Supervisors will receive detailed communications with instructions and resources to ensure timely and accurate completion of evaluations.
  • The required form is available on the Performance Management Form page.
    • Navigate to the Employee & Labor Relations section and select the Performance Evaluations tab.
    • There you will find links to the appropriate evaluation forms and a helpful guide tailored to various union agreements.
  • Once completed and signed, the employee receives a copy, and the signed evaluation is retained in the employee’s personnel file.

Behavioral Anchors for Ten Core Competencies

Competencies continue to provide the underpinning of goal achievement and although they are not technically integrated for rating on the current Performance Planning and Review Form; the performance dimensions of the core competencies can be integrated into goals for measures of achievement and ratings on established goals.

If you need help accessing forms or have questions about the process, please contact Library Human Resources.
