  • Diversity Committee – Kendra Levine reported that the Diversity Committee is relaunching the staff membership program as the UC Berkeley Libraries Partnership Program. More information and an invitation to participate will be sent out soon to all librarians and staff. The first cohort of partners will be matched in the Summer of 2023.
  • Academic/Research Librarian Values – Susan McElrath provided an overview of this project. Over the last year, LAUC-B members have expressed concerns about the devaluation of their work. As the draft Library’s values statement did not completely address these concerns. ExComm decided to form a small group to discuss research library/librarian specific values. The committee compiled 13 values statements. We incorporated the discussion and retroboard responses from the fall assembly into some of the values. Our next step will be to share them with you for your feedback and discussion. We will be scheduling some listening sessions over the summer. Most likely starting in July. The timeline will be discussed at the next ExComm meeting.
