System updates and release notes

Update and refresh schedule:

• New or updated records from Alma appear in Primo within about 15 minutes
• Primo Central Discovery Index (CDI) activations reflected in ~72 hours (target timeframe is 48 hours)
• The Premium Sandbox (PSB) environment is refreshed 2 times per year (in February and August)
• A semi annual reindexing (SARI) is done by Ex Libris every 6 months (in May and November)
  • Further information in the Search Index documentation from Ex Libris
  • The semi-annual reindexing generally starts in May and November and finishes in July and January (completion times can vary from institution to institution)

• Quarterly feature releases in February, May, August, and November for Alma and Primo VE
• Monthly releases include resolved issues and infrastructure updates

• Root cause analysis (RCA):
  • Ex Libris performs internal root cause analysis for each service interruption for above 5 minutes and takes the necessary steps to avoid them in the future.
  • Available for Alma, Primo, and CDI events
