Alma New Books Lists Creation

The Alma Analytics Expertise Group has developed a process to create Lists of Newly Acquired Books, which displays books recently acquired and cataloged. The dynamic new books lists, developed using Alma Analytics, can be integrated into your LibGuides where users can browse them easily. They do not include cover pages. The newly acquired print books lists can be customized for various subject areas, based on call number ranges, library location or fund code.

Some characteristics of the newly acquired print books lists by subject are:

• The lists include both print and e-books. 
• The search criteria can be modified.
• The lists can be embedded into LibGuides by the LibGuide owner

Here are the detailed steps needed to create and export the new book lists from Alma Analytics.

Trainings:

• November 7, Tuesday, 2-3pm, online (recording)
• November 9, Thursday: 1:30-2:30, in person (Doe 303)
