How to Request Direct Billed Registration and Memberships

  1. Complete a Travel/Training Pre-approval Form. If your registration or membership also includes travel, please use the same form to request all items. If you would like to directly bill your registration or membership to the Library, check the appropriate box on the form.
  2. Request approval from your supervisor, Head, and/or AUL (and SDC, if applicable) using any of the three pre-approval methods listed on the form.
  3. Send an email to lbs@berkeley.edu to create a Jira ticket to request direct billed registration or membership with the link to your approved Travel/Training Pre-approval Form. If you chose approval method 2 or 3, please also attach the appropriate approval documentation in your email.
  4. If you are not using LAUC-B, professional development or SDC funding, please ensure your form includes the correct full chartstring for the registration or membership.  
  5. LBS will reach out to you via the Jira ticket to either schedule a Zoom meeting or request your login credentials to pay for the registration or membership with a blu card. Please attach any emailed receipts or confirmations to the Jira ticket.
  6. If your request does not include any travel expenses, there is no further action required on your part.
  7. If your request includes travel, you do need to submit an expense report but the direct billed registration or membership does not need to be included. Within 30 days of completing your trip, record your actual travel expenses in the campus reimbursement system on a Travel expense report and upload your receipts. Send LBS your TRV expense report number via the original Jira ticket for review.
