Direct Billed Registration and Membership
LBS can purchase memberships, conference and class registration fees on your behalf using a UC Berkeley bluCard. Email lbs@berkeley.edu with your approval documentation and the relevant details.
Fellowships
Fellowships are granted through a competitive application process to fund research or development. Please work directly with LBSF to identify the correct procedures based on your specific fellowship recipients. In general, UC Berkeley students will be paid via the Student Information System (SIS) and non-UC Berkeley students will be onboarded as suppliers and paid through BearBuy.
Honoraria
An honorarium is a one-time payment to recognize or thank a non-university individual for their participation in a special lecture or workshop. University Librarian approval is required. See the Controller’s Honoraria Guidelines for additional details.
Donations and Sponsorships
In limited circumstances, the Library may be able to donate to foundations or sponsor projects. Donation and sponsorship requests require the University Librarian’s approval. They can only be paid with non-state allocated funding.
